Fat People Art

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and with the weather warming up (in the northern hemisphere at least) it’s got me thinking of sunny skies, beaches, and merfolk.

For some reason, fat and mermaids go together even better than PB&J. I see soooooooo many pictures of fat mermaids all over the place, and we’ve gotten quite a few submitted here at FPA already. But it’s time to make it official.

Next week, we’re going to be featuring fat merfolk, so make yourself a tuna sandwich, throw on a seashell bra, grab your crayons, and make some art! (Also, if you want to submit found pictures of fat mermaids, I highly encourage it, just make sure to credit the source.)

Please spread the word! Tell any artists you know that the time has come to put aside everything else in their lives and draw some underwater fat folk.

Remember, this isn’t an art contest. You don’t have to be a pro to submit. All art must have a fat person (or in this case, merperson) as a major part of the piece, but beyond that, it’s all open. I will still be accepting submissions for fat art that doesn’t feature mermaids, but I’ll post it the week after.
